Fun with Art through the Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP+) project

4th Jun 2026

This year our school was delighted to be awarded a Teacher Artist Partnership (TAP+) Creativity and Arts in Education Residency funded by the Department of Education under the Creative Youth Plan 2023-27. Artist Kate Kelly from Art Room 109 visited our school for 4 workshops over 4 weeks and the project centred around process art and sensory play. Children worked together collaboratively on some activities and expressed their individual ideas through others. The workshops were a tremendous success and children commented after each session on the benefits for creativity, wellbeing and playfulness. They especially enjoyed the air tubes, the lego and the rice tray. It was such fun!

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Kate for sharing her ideas with us and for inspiring the whole school community!
